How is this even news?

Lauren Conrad was a victim of someone spiking her drink....in 2006!

I'm trying to figure out how this made a headline at all.  Considering that Lauren was basically a nobody in 2006. 

She was partying it up with her then-boyfriend, Jason Wahler, when someone slipped something into her drink.  She was luckily in the company of friends who took care of her. 

She says, "Luckily I was with a group of friends, so it was fine."

A friend says, "It was really unsettling for her.  She had no idea who did it."
